Junot Diaz Reading: Highly Recommended

I saw Junot Diaz read from The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao a year ago. He’s an excellent reader and in the Q&A afterwards offered a number of interesting insights about his writing process. And what a gracious book signer! You can read more of my impressions here. Or see for yourself on Wednesday, when he reads at Politics and Prose bookstore:

JUNOT DÍAZ

THE BRIEF WONDROUS LIFE OF OSCAR WAO
Díaz uses a mixture of Spanish and English to express the melting and melding that occurs when immigrants from the Dominican Republic meet New Jersey, USA. This splendid young Dominican-American writer has scored a home run with his zany, sweet, perceptive novel now appearing in paperback.
